Congratulations to the 2010 McCullough Robertson
Queensland Life Sciences Industry Excellence Award Winner:
Dr. Peter Riddles - Founder and Director, Vicibio
With the continued advancement of Queensland’s Life Sciences Industry, it is important to recognise, celebrate and reward stakeholders for their outstanding contributions to the future of the life sciences sector in Queensland. For this reason, and now in its second year, Queensland Clinical Trials Network Inc. (QCTN), together with McCullough Robertson Lawyers, has initiated the Queensland Life Sciences Industry Excellence Award.
The 2010 Industry Excellence Award will be presented to an individual that has made significant contributions to the performance and success of the Queensland Life Sciences Industry and will have demonstrated a breadth of impact across the sector in Queensland. The Inaugural Award was presented to Prof. AJ (Tony) Webber, at the Queensland Life Sciences Globally Engaging Networking Event on 23 October 2009, and has now become an annual feature of this event. All applicants will be nominated and voted for by Queensland Life Sciences Industry Stakeholders, thereby providing validated prestigious recognition by industry peers; with the winner receiving a commemorative plaque.
The life sciences sector is broadly defined and includes biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, environmental science, agricultural science as well as venture capital and business consultants focussing on the life sciences. The award is open to all who are involved in the Queensland Life Sciences Community, both scientists and non-scientists from all levels of career stage or management within companies/organisations and including academia.
